Our Mission 

Founded in the summer of 2018, Viridian Strings was established with a passion for chamber music performed in the beautiful backdrop of Northern Michigan. Artistic directors Kyle Stachnik and Joseph Skerik, both graduates of the Interlochen Arts Academy with an extensive combined history in the Grand Traverse area, decided to establish a collective of some of the country’s most promising young musicians. 

Musicians from Viridian Strings are titled players in the San Diego and Seattle Symphonies and appear as substitute musicians in orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. As chamber musicians, they have appeared at festivals such as Kneisel Hall, Kronberg Academy, Marlboro Music, Music at Menlo, Ravinia Steans Institute, Verbier Academy, and Yellow Barn. 

Viridian Strings continues to pursue its mission of presenting the highest possible quality chamber music performances across the Grand Traverse Region and looks forward to welcoming you to our concerts this summer!
